A sample letter to a Polish Ecclesiastical Archive
This is a sample letter to the Head of a Diocesan Archive in Poland. The contents are translated using simple text with additional comments shown in italics.

 I would like to obtain the certificate of death (or a copy) for the following person:

 Name: Jan Walczak

 Date of death: Aug. 31st, 1899

 Parish: Sokolniki.

 Enclosed is a a donation for your archive and to cover the cost of postage. Thank you for your help.

Words to be substituted for "death" in the letter (death, etc.) are provided.
